Alexander was the natural choice because of his winning personality and integrity (anyone who knew him would tell you so), not to mention his ability to repair and install the products to Brunswick's satisfaction.įollowing this very humble beginning, Alexander and Brunswick celebrated the grand opening of Saffron's Billiard Supply at 814 W. Sometime in late 1964, through a chance meeting with the Brunswick area sales rep, Alexander learned that Brunswick was seeking someone who was reliable and knowledgeable about their products. He was particularly fond of vintage Brunswick tables and began restoring them to new condition. Alexander also decided to buy, sell and service used pool tables. As Alexander's business grew, he added pinball, bowling and gumball machines to his lease inventory as well. Davison in Detroit, Michigan-still a client to this day.
